The Summer Institute is not a workshop, but an experience in which the concepts and principles of Conscious Discipline come to life with real examples, real practice and real connections. Dr. Becky Bailey’s informative and entertaining style empowers you to discover the tools you need to break down whatever barriers are preventing you from experiencing lasting change.

Each year, the educators, parent educators and other professionals who attend this life-changing event discover the secrets to a better way of teaching, parenting and connecting. They then bring a transformational message of hope, safety, connection and problem solving back to enrich their classrooms, schools, homes and communities.

Summer Institute Specializing in Ages 0-3

The first three years of life are a period of incredible brain growth. As caregivers of our precious infants and toddlers, we have great potential to impact and influence their internal blueprints for social-emotional and cognitive development.

  • A healthy sense of self: Do we feel safe and trusting in the world? Do we feel good enough and deserving?
  • A mental model for relationships: Do we have confidence that our significant others will be there when we need them? Do we allow ourselves to be vulnerable or do we defend against authentic closeness?
  • A foundation for lifelong stress management: Do we handle stress and life’s upsets with grace and seek solutions, or do we find ourselves stuck in distress?

The way we respond to the needs of infants and toddlers will help them or inhibit them from forming healthy life patterns. Learn to create calm days of optimal stimulation for both children and ourselves.

Other Information

Should I still come to the Institute if I have already attended the Conscious Discipline Series or done a book study at my school? Won't it be the same?

You absolutely want to attend! The more knowledge you have about Conscious Discipline before you attend the Institute, the richer your Institute experience will be. The difference between other Conscious Discipline training and the Institute is similar to the difference between taking a science class and then taking the science lab. The Institute is your "lab” experience. You will become part of an active School Family for a week, feel the sense of safety and connection it creates, and allow the information to move from your intellect to your heart. This integrative experience is indeed life-changing. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend, regardless of your previous training with Conscious Discipline!
