Self-regulation is the number one skill needed for school success, life happiness and goal achievement. It allows us to moves from chaos to calm, from reactive to responsive. Learn the skills you need to teach children self-regulation in this interactive 2-day event.

  • Begin to reflect on your emotions and behaviors, and consciously model social-emotional learning for children.
  • Understand that your internal state co-creates children’s state.
  • Respond to children’s upset in an attuned way that fosters self-regulation.
  • Become conscious of the Five Steps to Self-Regulation and apply them to your life and the lives of children.
  • Teach children to identify, regulate and express their emotions constructively through the use of the Feeling Buddies.
  • Teach children how to calm and soothe themselves.
  • Learn the four basic conflicts that occur in classrooms and strategies to solve each of them.
  • Understand the connection between attention and emotion, and build children’s attention span.
  • Learn how to create a self-regulation learning center called the Safe Place.
